Please Help: My Parakeets Continue To Lay Eggs. I Mean Like Up To 16. None Of Them Are Fertile?

I tried everything I have referenced, INCLUDING but not limited to removing eggs after 25 days of when I think is the last lay, INCLUDING removing the nest box (She lays on the floor and sits on them), INCLUDING vitamin supplements, etc, etc. They are both dedicated parents and except for breif periods in the evening come out to eat. Am worried about their health!

  1. I have a cockatiel that does the same thing. It started quite a few years ago. The thing is it can mean they are content or it could mean that they are uneasy. If you think that they could be uneasy try doing whatever you can think of to make them happier. My bird has always been in a cage on her own, she does get protective of the eggs, but you must take them out. They could get TO protective over them and do nothing but sit on them. This has never caused her any health issues. My bird must be around people and has to have a view of where ever she is. She has had spells of laying multiple eggs sometimes quite a few in one day. But other then laying on the eggs if i don’t take them out she acts completely normal.
